So I thought I’d take a break from Prior Lake real estate today and delve into something vitally important to everyone. After all, not everyone is buying, selling, or even living in a house for that matter.
For some random reason, I just decided to Google myself. I found out that it’s quite a tangled web we’ve woven ourselves….internet web that is. When was the last time you Googled your own name? And yes, it’s likely a sign of boredom but it can actually be quite entertaining if you don’t have anything better to do.
The Google results indicate that there are quite a few of ‘me’ all over the country. I’m a real estate agent (in several states no less), a polymer chemist with a PhD, a well known impressionist artist, professor, lobbyist, banker, artisan pipe maker, lawyer, travel agent, business owner, doctor…..the list goes on and on. I found out there’s a Bob Gilbert day. Nobody even told me. I also won an agriculturist of the year award recently. Didn’t know that either. I’m not sure where I find the time, education, or talent to do all those things but according to the internet (which, as you know, is always correct) I do it all somehow. I’m also in a lot of different places at the same time. Amazing. I even stumbled across, of all things, several obituaries. I’m hoping they’re wrong.
According to LinkedIn, there are 25 of me here and there, all alive and well. I’m hoping that the me who is currently writing this phenomenal bit of literary prose is one of them. Pretty sure I am. And with that I can retire to that other well known American pastime called TV and check out what Christmas shows are on. It’s a hectic weekend, I tell ya.
