A Rare Late December in Prior Lake

Late December in Prior Lake, MN

Well I’ve got to say, this isn’t something you see very often in Prior Lake on the 19th of December!  This picture is from a walk a little earlier this afternoon.  What’s missing? About two feet of snow!  According to the news, about 1 out of 4 years we’ll have a brown Christmas, which in Minnesota means one inch or less of snow on the ground.  Seems like it occurs less than that to me, especially the last few years.  I suppose I won’t complain too much.  It was nice to get out and enjoy the holiday season from a viewpoint not often seen.  Normally I’d be warm and cozy inside, looking out at snow with temps in the 20’s and below.  I’ll enjoy it while I can, we’ll be returning to reality all too soon.
