It’s human nature for someone to think that their home is worth more than similar homes.  After all, it’s yours – you’ve maintained it, possibly expanded it, decorated it – it has to be better.  Unfortunately that leads some sellers to insist on listing their home at an unrealistic price.  There is indeed a purpose for overpriced listings but unfortunately it does not benefit the seller at all.  Read this article to see what actually happens when you ask for an inflated price.
